Tamales Y Sancocho Doña Zulma Review

TAMALES Y SANCOCHOS DOÑA ZULMA REVIEW SERGIO ANDRES OJEDA

installations

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, although there is a road next to it and since it is outdoors, the noise of cars is heard a lot when they pass by, not counting this, the idea of it being outdoors seems to me a reason why many people like it (me included)

The chairs and tables that they have are recursive using both made of plastic and pieces of trees, the fact that there are more plastic ones takes away some points because it does not add anything new, and also the thing of the cars takes away others. Continuing with the tables are ones that you could rent for any event. on the other hand, since it is located outdoors and the floor is many stones, it adds a personal touch considering that they did not cut down the trees that were inside the place but, they adapted them to form part of the restaurant

food and atmosphere

The restaurant only works on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and its menu is always the same; On Saturdays they give tamales and panela water and on Sundays sancocho de chickens that they raise in that same place (which is an extra point because they do not give them hormones so that they believe so it is their flavor without so many chemicals) accompanied with a piece of chicken of your choice, usually thigh or breast is requested, rice and salad.

the fact that there is not so much variety again or it takes away points but this very fact and that the restaurant works opening only on weekends indicates that people must like the food there a lot.

both foods served in the restaurant are very delicious and although there is no variety it always makes you want to return, some of the reasons must be, first what I mentioned above that the chickens are raised in that same place which makes them taste better than those who are raised industrially and secondly that home touch that the place and the atmosphere have, adding customer service, the workers of the place and the owners know the customers and treat them with familiarity which obviously makes people like the place and recommend it to others which the owners and employees begin to know and so on. I personally am a relative of the owners but in this review I try to be as objective as possible, highlighting both the good and bad points.

presentation

Now the presentation of the dishes; The sancocho comes in clay pots which is excellent detail and fits the environment, the tamale comes in its respective banana leaves as it is traditionally served in the Cauca Valley which is great and makes it look much better than If it is served only on a plate, the only thing that I consider that the presentation should be improved is the accompaniment that they give with the sancocho which comes with the piece of chicken, the rice and the salad in a styrofoam plate, which I think that if it were replaced by one made of clay it would combine much better and would not harm the environment.

rating the restaurant in general including the place, the atmosphere, the food the customer service, and the presentation I consider that the score of this restaurant is...

4 Sergio stars
scale:

the score of Sergio stars is because the restaurants have excellent food, environment and, customer service, the things to correct is the location, which even though is why it is distinguished from other restaurants, it has its disadvantages, also it presentations of the food has just one little suggestion but, in average it is pretty good.
